The Wildbirch Hotel welcomes acclaimed Alaska artist and designer Drew Michael for an October First Friday solo exhibition featuring new works in our Yukon Gallery.
Drew Michael (Yup’ik and Inupiaq) is a contemporary artist and mask-maker whose work explores culture, identity, spirituality, healing, and our relationships with the seen and unseen world. Drawing from traditional Yup’ik mask-making alongside contemporary materials and personal experience, Drew creates deeply expressive works that invite viewers to consider connection, balance, and the stories we carry with us.
Join us Friday, October 2 from 5–8 PM at The Wildbirch Hotel in downtown Anchorage to experience Drew’s newest body of work and celebrate First Friday with the Anchorage arts community.
